Hello,

Thank you for your note. We’re really sorry - the email you received was due to an automated DMCA notification processing system that may have gone awry. We’re currently investigating the situation and will get back to you with more details about this as soon as possible.

In the meantime, please review our Community Guidelines around copyright infringement, and in particular, our policy prohibiting repeat infringement:https://www.tumblr.com/policy/en/community

Thank you,
Tumblr Trust & Safety

Hello,

Thank you for your note….

I just got one of those too. I still feel like I’m on some sort of watch list.

I see the bands that I was warned about all day long on my dash, every day practically and yet—those bloggers seem free to do as they please.

I still feel nervous and uninterested in posting that much.

Thanks Tumblr

What the fuck, Tumblr?
If indeed my site gets taken down, here’s my goodbye note:

Seeing as there is no link to said content or possible explanation behind this, I am forced to stop blogging on nedhepburn.tumblr.com.
Multiple users who have been on the platform for a while have gotten the same email. It seems that a few people are waging war on content using these tools.
Unless this gets resolved soon, I’ll try and start a new account under a different name. Hopefully it gets figured out, as I have all my work on here. Until it does, though, consider this my final post. It’s been a fun 7 years.
Best,

This is total BS, staff. I received a takedown notice for music I never posted. No way to contest it, or defend myself.

I got one too. I contested because there was no url given.
I am so sick of this sh*t—you have no idea.
notices from music industry prick, Jeremy Banks. I seem to be on some list. The people that are targeted seems arbitrary. Tumblr is awash in copyright violations. Either give us all a strike or none.
Arbitrary averages are bullish*t—taking a small sample and letting the majority slide.
Trust me. None of this bullshit was happening until Yahoo bought Tumblr.
